The Hammer

Poem · EN · Thresholds
Something slips. Another current takes hold. The hammer falls and hits. Defend. Control. Explain. Win. Survive. Another strike. The blow keeps ringing. Every bone trembles. That law, the only one I know, has no power here. A fog seeps through the cracks. It is everywhere, in every stone and breath, in my own voice. The world rests in the fog. Walls no longer hold. The ground gives way. The horizon dissolves. I fall. Nothing but the open sky. The hammer falls. It doesn't hit. I hear "Say it!"
